A beautiful view

I’ve been gone for a few weeks, spending time with friends, seeing new places, and sometimes just enjoying a beautiful day watching the scenery blur by, in places like this somewhere in Normandy:

A beautiful day in Normandy, near Colleville-sur-Mer

Thank you to all who have stopped by in recent weeks and have enjoyed a virtual meeting with some amazing photographers in the 5+5 x 5 series.  I plan to do another series soon — look for details early next week.

As much fun as I had in my travels, it is good to be home, enjoying the local scenery and spending time with family and friends closer to home.  Hope you are enjoying the view wherever you are.

  1. Welcome back. After two days of pouring rain here in PA, that blue sky in Normandy certainly looks lovely.

  2. Reminds me of the landscape in parts of Southern England. Probably not too dissimilar. I haven’t been to Normandy since my school days – that was mostly around San Malo and Mont St Michel

    • I went to Mont St Michel although this photo was not in that area (at least, I think so). I didn’t realize that it was no longer an island at high tide, but they’re working to reverse the environmental damage that has been done over the years that has silted the bay. More photos — of course! — to come. 🙂

Nice to see you back. I go missing frequently too : )

  4. My sister-in-law lives in Normandy. I love visiting them and Normandy has so many photo ops
