Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,
Hundreds of bees in the purple clover,
Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,
But only one mother the wide world over.
– George Cooper
My mother, when she was less than 1/2 the age I am now:
Happy Mother’s Day!
Doesn’t it seem strange to see our mother at a younger age then we are? Today I was looking at a photo of my mother when she was maybe 12 or 13, standing with her mother. I wish I could see inside her and know her then.
Lovely Post Anne! Happy Mothers Day!
I appreciate the lovely poem and photo of your Mom. I pray you have a wonderful Mother’s Day.
