It made a sound but we didn’t hear it until you took these photos. Just a delayed reaction.
Yes it cracked- I heard it : )
I think the loudness would have been different to all the listening creatures: maybe to the mouse – deafening; to the bird – dull and quiet; to the fox – sharp and penetrating etc.
