This started out as a picture that I took as part of yesterday’s Weekly Photo Challenge. I didn’t like it as-is, the inside of something common so I added and warped and stretched and mutated the original image. I had no idea where I was going with this. I don’t think it is done yet.

Liberate Your Art

It’s really good, Anne.
Thanks, Naomi. I really have no background in art so I’m just starting to dip my toe into the art waters. I know what I like, but that’s about it. Not even sure that I should call this “art”. Appreciate the encouragement.
Of course it is art! And a lovely piece of it too. It’s never too late. Granda Moses was in her sixties when she took up a paintbrush.
I love the work here. Wonderful. My first impression was “the science of life”. Just an impression. I love it!
Your science of life comment reminded me of the work of this artist, Taylor Anne Smith: http://abstractmodern.com.temp.livebooks.com/#mi=2&pt=1&pi=10000&s=9&p=1&a=0&at=0 I have one of her pieces (not this one, but similar). Wasn’t thinking about her work when I did this, but had considered putting in some chemical equations instead of just numbers. We’re influenced by everything for good or bad, right?
