Weed of the Day

I found this growing along the side of the road today:

But this shot, taken of the underside of the bud, is my favorite because of the bits of sunshine illuminating the blurred green leaves in the background:

    I love the view from the back/underside with the bokeh in the background. Wonderful. Like seeing a sparkling gem against a starlit night.

      There is still some growing in the ditch that escaped the lawn mower blades. I’ll be watching it for the next few days to see if it blooms further.
